We're Ian & Kelly, and we got married on 26th May 2007. This date is special most importantly as it is our Wedding Day and also it is 25 years to the day that our team, Aston Villa,  had their most momentous and celebrated victory to date: We beat FC Bayern München 1-0 at de Kuip ("the Tub")Stadion (home to FC Feyernood), Rotterdam; the goal coming from Peter Withe in the 67th minute, to become Champions Of Europe.

It has always been our intention to mark this by having the theme for our wedding as a "Claret & Blue Wedding". This starts with the Bride's colours (I suggested Kelly wore a number 9 on the back of her bridal gown), the decorations, flowers, the Groom and his Best Man / Ushers colours - all the way down to the knives and forks and the plates the guests will eat off.

This site is our story of the planning, excitement, background and then ultimately in 17 weeks the finale - our special day. We then plan to document the honeymoon and married life thereafter. We hope you find it interesting and more importantly that it brightens your day even by a tiny flicker!
