Well, after our special "claret and blue wedding day" we wanted somewhere nice, relaxing, plenty of sun, romantic and special where my babe and I could spend two weeks as the newly married couple Mr and Mrs Bourne!
It's took many many months to plan and decide where we'd like to go on our honeymoon as Ian's not keen on flying and I don't like boats but eventually it's come together and we are both now so looking forward to getting there as husband and wife, chilling out with a glass of champagne, looking out from our balcony at the crystal blue sea and reflecting on our big day.
We shall try our best to keep a diary (if we're not too busy doing other things :-)!) of each day on our honeymoon and then when we return to reality we shall post it on our website for you all.
The morning after our wedding (the Sunday) we shall be leaving our house at 7.15am to begin our journey by car to London Victoria where we shall board the Orient Express at 11.15am, it has been one of Ian's ambitions to do a journey on the Orient Express and I thought well our wedding is special, my babe is special to me and he deserves to be treated, so the first Ian knew about it (we'd looked at the option before and couldn't decide because of the price) was when he received the e-mail confirmation of the booking which I had made in secret via telephone!! It is a little more expensive than just a normal train journey to Paris but my thoughts about it were is that we only live once and it's not every day we have a celebration like our big day to celebrate being husband and wife. I thought it would be a great way to start our honeymoon and a memorable one that we'd never forget.

The website for Orient Express is: www.orient-express.com
We shall depart London Victoria at 11.15am, where we shall have a private cabin, a three course lunch and then on the evening we shall enjoy a four course formal dinner before we arrive in Paris at 9.20pm.
On the Sunday evening when we arrive in Paris we shall get a taxi to the Sofitel Paris Bercy, their website is: http://www.accorhotels.com/accorhotels/fichehotel/gb/sof/2192/fiche_hotel.shtml
We shall enjoy an evening here is a lovely room sipping cocktails and looking forward to where we shall be arriving at the next day...!

On the Monday morning we shall departing from Paris Gare Du Lyon at 11.20am, first class on the TGV, a fantastic train which will take us to Nice for 5.26pm. Once we arrive in Nice we shall collect a hire car and make our way to a lovely beachside resort called Juan les Pins, it's about 20 minuites away from Nice. We shall be staying at this five star luxury hotel: http://www.starwoodhotels.com/lemeridien/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1917
We shall be having five nights here in a luxurious Deluxe room, with a sea view and a balcony, as you can see from the website it looks a gorgeous hotel, Ian and I are so looking forward to arriving here and just relaxing! When I booked it the man said your bed will be facing and have views looking out onto the sea...I was like wow fantastic!! The hotel is set on the beach and has it's own private beach, spa facilities, bars and restaurants. We visited Juan les Pins a couple of years ago and we enjoyed a lovely meal on the sea front and a cocktail or two in one of the many beach front bars but we never treated ourselves to the Le Meridien Garden Beach then!!

On the Saturday which will be our first week as being husband and wife we shall be departing the Le Meridien and getting in our car and driving to Pont Royal Golf and Country Club this is about a two hour drive from Nice. Pont Royal is a golf complex which is about a 20 min drive away from Provence (we know it's nice in Provence as we've spent many holidays here and it's perfect!) As I said Pont Royal is a golf complex which has private villas for rent, they are all set around the golf course and it has it's own restuarant and bar on the complex which you can use as well as the golf course! All of this is in walking distance on the complex so we can enjoy a drink here and not have to worry about getting a taxi back! The website for the villa which we have chosen for our honeymoon is:
http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/france/FR1493.htm
As you can see from the pictures it has 3 bedrooms, a huge terrace, with tables, chairs, sunloungers, a barbecue and most of all a private pool! We know that at the beginning of June the weather in the South Of France is lovely, we went last year at the end of May for five nights and the weather was 38 degrees nearley every day, so we know that we can lie by the side of our private pool, relaxing with a glass of rose and just making the most of our time alone as husband and wife.
There is plenty to do in Provence, from the markets, visiting the seaside resorts around the area, visiting the wine tasting area and also one place where we'd both like to visit is the camargue, a website which I've found is: http://www.terre-de-camargue.com/UK/Discovering.htm we'd like to have a ride on the white horses...knowing me though I'd probably fall off the back!!!
Then finally on Saturday 9th June we shall depart our private villa and begin our journey back home.
We are both really looking forward to our honeymoon, we have put so much hard work, time and preperation into our wedding day and even though it will be our big special day, we are so looking forward to being husband and wife and jetting off to relax and spend some quality time together, we shall love it! xx Enjoy....I'm sorry but I can't fit anyone in my suitcase!! It's just me and my husband to be and lots of pictures which we shall share with you when we return! xxx
